Retail Sales & Inventory Dashboard

Retail businesses rely on timely sales and inventory insights to optimize product availability, monitor performance, and support informed business decisions. Using a retail sales and inventory dataset from Kaggle, I developed a three-page interactive Power BI dashboard to analyze retail revenue, inventory performance, product performance, and category-level trends.

This project demonstrates my ability to transform retail data into an interactive business intelligence solution that supports executive reporting, inventory management, and product performance analysis.

Objective

Create an interactive dashboard that enables users to:

• Monitor overall retail sales performance.
• Analyze inventory trends and stock levels.
• Compare inventory levels with demand forecasts.
• Identify top-performing products and product categories.
• Explore product performance through interactive visualizations.

Data Preparation

To prepare the dataset for analysis, I:

• Cleaned and transformed the data in Power Query.
• Created calculated measures using DAX.
• Built a data model to support accurate reporting.
• Developed reusable KPIs and business metrics for dashboard reporting.
